13-14-15 august: beer on the tracks steamcenter Maldegem

On 13, 14 and 15 august (Saturday, Sunday AND Monday), the SteamCenter Maldegem organises another edition of Beer On The Tracks. The aim of this event is to give a fresh and unique mix of the rich railway-history and the Belgian beer.
Brewery Van Steenberge, the only brewery in the Meetjesland, will be present with its complete range of beers, both on the site as in the trains. Its own STOOMBIER will exclusively be available on draught. All beers can be tasted at very reasonable prices! The diverse beers can also be puchased in gift packaging at the beer stand.
Naturally, you can go back to the time when travelling by train was still an experience. The visitor can make a trainride on the tracks between Maldegem and Eeklo in historical coaches, towed by real steam locomotives or in an old dieselcar from the fifties.
The event also offers train rides for the kids in open wagons. In the train station of Maldegem, the museum will open its doors, together with the scale models of steam locomotives, rail tracks, the shop and other entertainment.
